Expert Review:
Antec is the go-to company for stable and reliable PSUs, and the BP550+ is a tried and tested example -- among other things, boasting a MTBF rating of 100k hours, which basically means that the average unit will last for over 11 years of constant use. A sizable 120mm fan keeps things cool with very little noise, and the modular design helps with both airflow and general tidiness (a very nice feature at this price). This includes two PCIe connections, one 6-pin and one 6+2 pin, so even a fairly powerful gaming rig can be built with this PSU. Really, 550 Watts will be plenty for any mainstream home or work PCs, and 80 PLUS certification will ensure 80% or greater efficiency at all loads. Are there more exciting PSUs? Certainly. But a stable, dependable, and modular power supply for this price, from a company as trustworthy as Antec, is pretty exciting too.

Just a warning, the amperage available on the combined 12V rails is NOT 69A, it's 32A. According to the sticker on the PSU itself, just do a Google Image search for BP550, it states MAX combined 12V rail load is 384W. P = VI, so I = P / V, 384/12 = 32A.
I was orginially planning on getting this PSU for my upcoming i5 gaming rig, but opted for the better quality, admittidly more expensive, Antec TruePower New 550W (TP-550) with a stated 45A availble on the combined 12V rails. They don't call it a 'Basiq' model for nothing...
