England's Ashdown has taken to outsourcing their manufacturing to other countries, one of which is the USA where their top-of-the-line models are now produced, including the BTA 400. This 400W head is big, heavy and road-ready. The preamp controls are identical to those on Ashdown’s signature ABM series, like seven bands of EQ, a compressor and a subharmonic generator. In other words, it's very much an Ashdown, but with an all-tube power amp for the ultimate in tone and presence.
