Modeled after the vintage compressors of the 60’s, the Opto Stomp from BBE is a well designed unit. The true bypass will preserve your tone when switched off, and the vintage optical limiter provides a much softer (and some say more organic) attack. There is a -15db pad switch, a nice option, and as expected, compression control as well as volume. BBE is not known for making shoddy products. If you are on a tight budget, give the Opto Stomp a try before making your final purchase.
