Best Computer Case for Quiet Operation
The computer case is probably the determining factor of whether or not a computer system will be quiet. There is a lot of appeal to make a "quiet" or "silent" PC; a computer that sounds like a vacuum all day is no fun to work with. A good computer case with an emphasis on quiet computing should dampen much of the fan noise, utilize high diameter and low voltage fan mounts, whilst maintaining adequate airflow for computer parts. Good silent PC cases are also constructed of sturdy materials such as aluminum, have thick walls, and sometimes have specialized sound-dampening foam or patterns to dissipate sound waves from within the case. The end result should be a quiet PC that can hardly be heard once turned on.
