          Best Pitching Wedge:

A pitching wedge can be one of the most important tools in your golf bag. It can be a good club for working around the green when you’re looking to get a little less spin on the ball. However in a bump-and-run scenario, a pitching wedge will most frequently be used for mid-range wedge shots. In other words, shots further out can be handled with a typical chip or pitch shot, or pitch shot, hitting comparably to a short iron, like an 8 or 9.

The design on these clubs is important, since you want a wedge without harsh blade features which prevent getting a good shot on the ball when you’re 50+ yards out. At the same time these wedge aren’t designed exactly like your irons, because they all need to function around the green. These pitching wedges also include features like varying slot technology for aiding you with those longer wedge-worthy shots. Lastly, these pitching wedges offer excellent balance since you’ll use them to take most diverse range of shots of any other wedges you’ll own.

                  Best Lob Wedge:

A lob wedge is a club featuring an incredibly high amount of loft. Depending on the maker of the wedge, that can be anywhere from 60, 62, or 64 degrees. There are a lot of options out there so selecting the right lob wedge is definitely important. In order for a lob wedge to make this list, it must have the following three qualities.

First, a good lob wedge must feature a blade design. This club will almost exclusively be used around the green as a cavity back design will not get the job done when you're in deep rough just off the green. Second, the lob wedge must feature a wide sole to mitigate the amount of friction that exists when you're cutting through thick turf. Third, these clubs must have deeply cut grooves to ensure friction and spin is generated at the moment of impact.

                          Best Gap Wedge:

Many golfers don’t realize that a gap wedge is something which can help their game a great deal. In simple terms, a gap wedge bridges the divide between a low-loft wedge and a higher-loft wedge. It can function as an option which works well between the pitching wedge and sand wedge for those who frequently use wedges. The gap wedge will be used far more frequently from the fairway or light rough than around the green for the same reasons a pitching wedge isn’t regularly utilized around the green.

In order for a gap wedge to be considered for our best list, they needed to have well-distributed weight throughout the club head which is achieved through design specifications like featuring a blade or cavity back design. Second, these gap wedges all have a wide sole, which allows for the club to glide through the turf easier and cut through deep rough by mitigating friction. Lastly, these wedges feature groove technologies which will give the ball greater spin when hitting the green as well as on shorter shots.
