Best Hiking Boots

As a former Green Beret with lots of experience hiking through the mountains of places like Colorado, Montana and Afghanistan, I have based this best list on performance. There is nothing more important when out on trek than taking care of your feet. One of the best things one can do to take care of their feet is get the right foot gear. In my time in the Special Forces I had the opportunity to use boots from many name-brand companies. Many offered their products to us just so they can claim that we've used them. With that being said, we put them to the test.  We may spend  periods of days on end trekking across desert and through mountains for up to a year. We walk, we run and we climb. Reliability, durability and mobility are imperative for us. The following products are my top picks based on these things. Unfortunately cost is one of those things I never had to worry about as a Special Forces Soldier, but it is important to the consumer, so I've included that as well.

Personally I have used each one of these brands, and although they may seem a bit pricey, you really do get what you pay for. Let's face it – the outdoors isn't where you want to skimp on price for something as important as boots. Each one of these brands will deliver their claims!
