If you’re a fan of making pizza at home, owning a pizza cutter is essential. Use a knife for the job and it will make a mess of the pizza you’ve worked so hard to craft. In my search for the best pizza cutters, each of these selections needed to be able to cut clean slices, have a comfortable and sturdy grip, as well as being dishwasher safe since washing pizza cutters by hand is time consuming and slightly dangerous.

The Bru Joy Pizza Cutter Wheel is a classic pizzeria model. It has a large four inch blade that makes it a breeze to slice through pizzas of all shapes and sizes. The handle is long with a soft grip although it would be slightly more comfortable if it were a little bulkier. Luckily, the blade is so sharp you don’t need to apply much pressure when slicing. This pizza cutter is made of stainless steel which prevents it from rusting no matter how often you run it through the dishwasher.

With its sturdy grip, you’re keeping the cutting blade in one place so cheese and toppings are minimally displaced. The cutters phenolic paper construction means it will take a long time for the edge to dull, making this pizza cutter a great value. You can pop it in the dishwasher after use but its large size may make this one a bit tricky to fit in.

Any tool that serves as mulitasker is a win in my book with the Kuhn Rikon Flexi Slice & Serve able to be used as both a pizza cutter and spatula. Although the sharp blade makes clean cuts, you may have to make a few cuts to get across a larger pizza. The ergonomic handle is stable and comfy, allowing you to apply force without slipping. This cutter is made of stainless steel and although it is dishwasher safe, the manufacturer recommends washing and drying it by hand.
