I bought a Smart Bag punching bag. Very cool. It fits in my living room and I pull it into the corner when I'm not using it. It stands up without having to hang it.
It's hard to explain, but it's made for mma so I can do ground and pound and punching & kicking without having to hang it up and take it down. I bought it at http://www.best-punching-bag.com
Kind of pricey, but well worth it. It's kind of in a category of it's own, not just a punching bag.
