Best Red Wine 1959
You can’t get much luckier than to have been born, married, divorced, released from jail, graduated or celebrating any noteworthy occasion in 1959. This was a legendary vintage for most of the world with Bordeaux, Burgundy and Spain producing efforts that contend for wine of the century. As a result, this list boasts an exceptionally elite group of wines which is not for the faint of heart (or wallet) but ensures that any consumer will be getting to the very heart of what drives passion for the vine. Fear not though, you can stray from this list greatly and still find excellent quality in most every well-established wine-growing region. It must be remembered however, that at age 50, they say there are no great wines so much as great bottles. There can be large swings in quality from bottle to bottle due to the technology used in bottling and individual storage history. With that disclaimer behind, this is what you want to drink for your 50th.
