Best Sedans for Fuel Efficiency
Wouldn't it be nice to go back to the days of $1.25-per-gallon gas? Unfortunately, those days are long gone, and have since been replaced by sticker shock at the gas pump. The qualities that turned American consumers away from economy cars - small size and small engines - are now in high demand as owners of big gas-guzzling SUVs and trucks seek refuge from $100+ fill-ups. Cars that get 30+ MPG are not hard to come by these days, but as always, some are better than others. Here are the best sedans for fuel efficiency for your money. Note, however, that the EPA standard for testing fuel economy changed for 2008 to encompass more realistic figures, and the resulting numbers therefore look lower than the 2007 models. This makes comparisons difficult between 2008- and newer models with 2007- and older, but references are slowly being built up.
