Millions of people visit theme parks every year, but it's usually the big-name parks from Disney, Universal, Six Flags, etc that get all the attention. However, many smaller, lesser-known parks offer a great sense of charm, fun and entertainment and are a bargain compared to larger amusement parks. The following theme parks are very enjoyable, cost effective, and family friendly.

Wild fire is my favorite at Silver Dollar City, Theme Park. It is the wildest roller coaster in the park. Taking 32 fearless souls to imminent doom at a crack, Wild Fire cranks up a very fast, upside down, spinning ride. If you're not sure your stomach is up to it, you can see the entire superstructure from the Observation Deck. Go as a single and avoid the long line. http://www.australiavoyage.net
