Okay, I have to say that while I've never tried this yogurt cheese maker, I'm sure it does a fine job of letting gravity do its thing. However, there is a new yogurt cheese maker on the block that is made from organic cotton, is cone shaped and fits inside an empty quart yogurt container (lid can still snap on). Organic cotton (free of pesticides) works great at not only draining but it also wicks the moist whey out of the yogurt producing a thicker yogurt cheese faster than metal or plastic meshes and by recycling an empty yogurt container, you help reduce waste. And you can get two organic cotton makers for $7.00!
