Bosch GTS1031 10" Portable Jobsite Table Saw
Since we’re talking about portable table saws, I decided to give Bosch’s GTS1031 the top spot. This has to be the most portable table saw on the market and it’s the only one I know of that’s truly designed for one-handed carrying, although you may want to pump some iron before trying. Storage-wise it’s the only one that is designed to stand on end, rather than sit flat so for those with limited space, it’s a useful feature.
At first I thought I wasn’t going to like the fence, but it does what it’s supposed to do, locking in place, parallel to the blade. The blade runs a bit faster than most, at 5,000 RPM, which makes for faster cuts. It’s got the modular blade guard, everything stores on-board, and there’s an 18-inch rip capability. The last thing that sold me on this model is there’s no plastic so there’s nothing to break when you throw it in the back of your truck.
