The nicest Buick in a generation is this large, attractive, full sized crossover vehicle. Available in front or all wheel drive, the Enclave is powered by a 3.6L V6 direct injection engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission which means that the Enclave offers enough power to move its nearly five thousand pounds of body mass without consuming more gas than necessary.

Besides its beautiful exterior featuring fashionable lines, a bold grill, and modernistic theme, the inside is where the Enclave really shines as it offers plenty of cabin room for seven passengers with room for eight if needed. Seats are very comfortable, the ride smooth and quiet, and available amenities rival that you'd expect to find in a luxury SUV including navigation system, rear back up camera, Bose surround sound system, plus optional wood and leather treatments.

Almost half of all Buick sales are attributed to the Enclave, a crossover body style that could easily have been branded as a Cadillac, but instead has been tasked with being the first of what will likely be several image remaking models for Buick.

Although General Motors does sell versions of this hugely spacious seven seat SUV at GMC and Chevy dealers only the Enclave manages to look truly luxurious both inside and out. With the recent introductions of the Regal and LaCrosse sedans it also appears that Buick is on a bit of a roll product wise so buying an Enclave will require no apologies to snobby friends. In fact, Buick is fast on its way to becoming the bargain seekers Lexus so buying an Enclave would merely be securing your station as a fashion conscious trend setter.

The Enclave also beats out its GM stable mates by having nicer leather and a far more stylish mix of wood trim and chrome that is classy yet manages to never look overdone. Dare I say it but I think Lexus could learn a thing or two about making realistic wood trim just by looking at the interior of the Enclave. A well deserved hit for Buick and a great seven seat SUV buy for you.

If you need a seven seat SUV there are few options that offer space for seven actual adults—the Enclave is one of those options with easy seat access even into the third row. This is the first Buick in ages that managed to balance the wood, chrome and soft touch plastics without totally going overboard. Finally, fine taste has returned to Buick interiors—a brand that was once considered to be the purveyor of soft spoken luxury when compared to the brassy offerings at Cadillac.
