Why it's best:
Perfect for shooting wildlife, sports, and action photography, the SX10 has a 20x optical zoom lens that gets you super close to the subject. Image stabilization and the new DIGIC 4 Image Processor help deliver blurry-free shots of moving subjects. The SX10 is very fast, equipped with an excellent viewfinder, and offers comprehensive manual controls for advanced photographers. An ideal choice for photographers that want tremendous telephoto power without lugging around an SLR and heavy telephoto lens.

Recieved 5 StarsProbably best in class, worthy upgrade, October 17, 2008

I've owned each new version of this camera since the Powershot S2IS. For me this is a worthwhile upgrade over the prior version, the S5IS.

I'll start by saying that I am not a digital camera "power user". I just want good quality photos without a lot of hassle. This camera provides that, yet also provides a lot of room for growth ...read full review

Compared to the S2 through S5, the zoom is now 20x optical...read full review

Recieved 5 StarsGreat camera for those with no patience for lenses and tripods, November 12, 2008

I was the proud owner of a Canon S1 IS very soon after it was released. I loved the compact size, additional lens attachment, and zoom capability. Its quality was nice for the time but soon the megapixel race was on and 3MB images were left in the dust. I opted next for a Canon Rebel XT and spent $$$$ on lenses, flashes, memory, bags, tripods,...read full review
