CDT’s aptly named HD range was designed to bring true high-fidelity audio into the unique confines of a car interior. The HD-62US is a 6.5-inch variant with the ‘UpStage’-design crossovers, which means an increase in sound quality and clarity. The use of the 'UpStage' crossover differentiates this model from the standard HD-62, which, while still impressive, comes up short in comparison. The power handling is rated at 200 watts RMS, and this is delivered through the robust woofers and tweeters. The woofers feature a treated cast carbon construction for tightly controlled movements, and the silk dome tweeters integrate into the profile to create accurate, high-quality sound with none of the harshness of a lesser system. The price of this system seems very reasonable, considering the performance that it is capable of.
