Dell Studio XPS 16 Notebook - Customizable
Review: Powerful, stylish, and well-priced pretty much describes the Dell XPS 16 notebook series. Evolving from their previous boring designs from 2005-2007, Dell has recently put design aesthetic as an important priority, and has achieved this to great effect with their Studio XPS notebooks. With a 16" screen that can have up to a 1920 x 1080, full 1080p resolution, the XPS 16 is an excellent choice for multimedia applications. However, the large screen size also means that the XPS 16 is larger than 14.1" or 13" notebooks, so this laptop may not be the best choice for frequent travelers.
The XPS 16 can be very well-configured with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 processor, an ATI HD 3670M graphics chip, 4GB of DDR3 memory, and the usual suite of wireless, optical drives, and software. For back-to-school shoppers or those on a stricter budget, there are less-expensive (albeit less-powerful) configurations as well. Though it may not be the best for travel or battery life, the XPS 16 looks great and offers plenty of power for a reasonable price.
