Dyson DC16 Animal Handheld Vacuum Cleaner
Why it's best:
It has an enormous cyclonic motor and motorized brushbar to eradicate animal hair and dirt. It comes with several tools, and looks so intimidating it probably scares the dirt into the nozzle. It's great for cleaning everything from dog dander to keyboards. As with other Dyson products it's incredibly easy and convenient to empty when full, and the cyclonic design keeps the dirt from clogging the works.
It's the status leader of the pack. And it's great at sucking up filth. It's also very expensive, and its charge holds for just 6 minutes. This is okay for small jobs, and the lithium battery charges faster than others, but if you need sustained power you might do better elsewhere.

Yes, the battery only lasts 6 minutes. This is widely advertised and shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who buys the Dyson handheld.
