Epiphone Thunderbird Pro-IV Bass
Gibson first introduced their Thunderbird bass in the 1960’s, and it was an instrument that instantly stood out, thanks to its reverse body profile paired with a rumbling rock and roll tone. Years later, Epiphone has captured the Thunderbird sound and feel in their PRO IV, an affordable replica of the classic axe perfect for players on a budget. The design and build of this bass guitar holds true to the unique Thunderbird look while still keeping comfort and playability as a top priority; a rosewood fingerboard makes it easy for you to groove up and down the frets, aided of course by a seven piece walnut/maple neck. The neck also is a product of the SlimTaper design, which adds additional comfort for bass players who like to zip around while playing.
The through-body construction of the neck gives the Thunderbird PRO IV a deep resonance. T-PRO humbucking pickups are paired with custom active electronics and an EQ that give players the ability to tweak their tone until it’s to their liking. This bass tends to sound similar to a Fender Jazz Bass, but with a more powerful output. You can use this bass to play in both clean and more dirty settings, but it is definitely better suited for the latter. This is a rock bass so plug it in, crank it up, and experience the glory for yourself!
