The Passport 9500ci includes every available advanced feature and is the only unit to incorporate the utility of GPS to identify false alarms and confirmed threats. The 9500ci uses a laser shifting technology to jam laser guns aimed at your vehicle. Increasingly, speeding tickets now come from laser speed guns, not radar. Since laser cannot be detected until your vehicle is being measured, the only way to counter the threat is through laser shifters (like those on the 9500ci). This is the only radar detector with GPS, which enables a number of new features. First of all it has a location database of speed traps, and red light camera’s preprogrammed that it can alert you to. The unit also uses GPS to eliminate false signals by identifying and identifying if the radar source is always present in a given location. The 9500ci's GPS also identifies your speed and turns off any signals when you are driving below 25 mph (i.e. a parking lot).
This detector is the complete package and includes every possible feature.
