Gibson '57 Classic Plus Guitar Pickup
Gibson designed their ’57 Classic Plus guitar pickup after the standard model of the same name, but with some enhancements and tweaks to improve the tone and performance. The pickup is slightly over-wound to boost the output and provide an enhanced sound which still retains the vintage tone of its predecessor. Much like the standard, the Classic Plus also has enamel-like wiring, an Alnico II magnet, and maple spacers to offer up a sound that instantly harkens back to the 1950's, a time when a significant amount of great jazz music was being performed and recorded. While this pickup is compatible with a wide range of guitars, putting it into a Les Paul can lead to the best possible tonal results. Put this thing into a guitar running through a tube amp and you’ll hit what can only be described as the sweet spot, resulting in a rich and warm tone that can truly make the guitar stand out from the rest of the pack.
