Great Stuff Pro Gaps & Cracks 24oz Gun Foam
Dow Corning provides a canned foam sealant in two different grades; a consumer grade and a commercial "pro" grade. This is the pro grade, although the same sealant comes in a disposable can. Specifically formulated as a gap filer, this foam sealant is idea for places where walls don't meet, cracks that have formed in masonry or around windows and doors, where there is no insulation. As a crack sealer, this one doesn't expand as much as some of the other versions. The pro version doesn't come with a nozzle, but rather is designed to work with a separate gun that has an integral nozzle. This saves on sealant, as unfinished cans can be removed and resealed for later use. While the cost of the gun makes the overall cost higher, if you use a foam sealant regularly or even occasionally, the savings on materials makes it worthwhile. You'll also find that it's easier to control the sealant by using the gun. There are also specialized versions of this product available for pest blocking, sealing doors & windows and for sealing walls & floors.
The gun has a stainless steel barrel for longer life and is cleanable after every use. It also eliminates the common problem of post-dispensing drip, one of the biggest nuisances of working with any sealant. You'll save money on both the gun and the cost of material, as you won't have to throw away partially used cans. The can adapter, needle and check valve are all made with a non-stick coating, to make it easier to clean the gun. A flow control allows you to apply a bead from 1/8 up to 3 inches in width.
