Review: HP's new Pavilion dv8t released with the launch of Microsoft's new operating system, Windows 7, is a processing powerhouse. Featuring Intel's new Core i7 Mobile processors, the Pavilion dv8t comes equipped with either the i7-720QM or the i7-820QM processor. Both processors are quad cores and capable of HyperThreading, similar to their desktop counterparts. The processors have a TDP of 45W maximum, which is quite low considering the performance of the processors. Still, don't expect the Pavilion dv8t to turn any heads for its battery life; it is a performance notebook first and foremost and thus sacrifices power for batter life. The dv8t also comes with the option for two hard drives; a user can configure both to have two 500 GB 2.5" notebook hard drives for 1TB of storage. The graphics adapter standard with the design is the Nvidia GTX230M, which isn't as powerful as the Asus G51J-A1's GTX260M, but it should be good enough for casual gaming. The sheer size of the notebook makes it a desktop replacement not intended for frequent travel, however the 18.4" screen size affords it a very large 1920x1080 screen resolution, great for watching movies and media. If you don't mind size (or are looking for a big laptop with a keypad), the HP Pavilion dv8t merits a good look, especially given its great processing performance!

It is indeed the best hp laptop.........
