JVC KD-AHD59 HD Radio/CD Receiver
Why it's best:
The JVC Arsenal KD-AHD59 is part of JVC's premium 'Arsenal' line, which encompasses high-end car audio. The KD-AHD59 boasts a sleek, ultramodern design that's at once eye candy and easy to use. The front-mounted USB slot allows direct iPod connections without needing an adapter, and the KD-AHD59 interface can be used to control the iPod. There is a large button labelled 'TAG', which, when your iPod is plugged in provides the iTunes 'Tagging' feature for songs that you hear on the radio and would like to buy later. The KD-AHD59 supports MP3 and WMA playback from CDs when you're not listening to HD radio through its built-in tuner. The KD-AHD59's built-in amplifier is powerful enough to provide great sound quality to go with the improvements that HD Radio bring. The JVC Arsenal KD-AHD59 is a great way to add HD Radio reception to a solid receiver that functions well outside of the HD Radio department.
