Why it's a best pick:
Between its classic lines and its full list of features, the Kenwood DPX503 represents one of the best all-around replacement stereos for your double-DIN sized dash opening. The DPX503 will make even non-premium sound systems sound vastly better, thanks to the combination of a powerful internal amplifier, built-in equalizer settings, sound processing, and an algorithm called 'digital time alignment' which monitors the real-time sound and alters subtle bits to make the music sound loud and clear. Although the size of the buttons is disappointingly small for a double-DIN unit, the twin dials and clearly labeled buttons prove the DPX503 to be highly ergonomic. Your gadgets are fully supported as well, with a front-panel USB and auxiliary inputs with which to connect the plugs. The highly capable Kenwood DPX503 performs extremely well, and should definitely be on your list of replacement double-DIN stereos.

Manufacturer Description: Replace that aging, broken or otherwise boring double DIN factory radio with DPX503 and gain high performance audio features and portable player connectivity to your iPod or other music storage device! The DPX503 has a large multi-line display with full-spectrum variable illumination (very cool) and connectivity features like an illuminated front Aux input and USB port...read full description

What I like the most (and very applicable to Sirius/XM radio listeners) is the multi-line disp...read full review

I would have given this system an easy 5 but it only has 2 RCA connections. It sounds 20 times better then th...read full review

Recieved 1 StarsCan't see the display, awkward controls, cheap facade, May 19 2009

It's an OK tuner, but ...

I can't see the display in the daylight, or even very well at night. The multi-color display options are a joke without some sort of brightness settings.

Switching between input sources is awkward at best, and the cheap-feeling toggles (joy sticks...read full review
