Expert Review:
Numark's direct-drive X2 Hybrid has just about everything, including up to 80% pitch control for vinyl and 50% for mp3 playback on your favorite mp3 player. For DJs, a bevy of features such as adjustable start and brake speeds, forward/reverse toggle with bleep, and the ability to play the turntable and a CD at the same time make it a very attractive proposition. For your average turntable user, the functionality of key locking any tempo up to 100% or seamless looping won't make their heart race, but it's cool stuff nonetheless. The sound quality is fine, although not quite as great as Technics, but for the acrobatic DJ who requires the utmost from his or her rig, or even the experimental musician looking to augment his or her recording setup, the X2 Hybrid offers a lot.
