P. Mauriat System 76 Professional Tenor Saxophone
P. Mauriats System 76 tenor saxophone, constructed using hand-hammering by expert craftsmen, has a large bore and bell for a large, centered tone. In a distinct P. Mauriat process, the tone holes, against which the pads and keys close, are made from the metal the saxophones body is constructed out of, eliminating the need to solder on extra pieces. This process of tone hole construction allows for better response and consistent intonation throughout the range of the saxophone. The key buttons are abalone, designed for a multi-colored pearl effect and added style. In addition to the standard gold lacquer, this tenor saxophone is also available in a vintage dark lacquer, for a slightly warmer tone, as well as an unlacquered finish. The P. Mauriat System 76 is also the most affordable tenor saxophone on this list.
