Panasonic AG-HPX250PJ HD Handheld Video Camera
The HPX250 shoots full HD on a 2.2MP 3MOS sensor, a more advanced set of sensors which record colors independently for greater resolution and image quality is further enhanced by its 10-bit 4:2:2 AVCHD files. The camera is well designed and sits in the hand nicely making it ideal for run-and-gun shooting. Added image stabilization and focus assist are some of the other helpful utilities making shooting easier on the go. Four user customizable buttons on the body add the ability to easily access functions each operator needs without having to go into the menu.
The camera layout is well thought out and buttons are where they should be meaning less fiddling around when you’re shooting. Unfortunately, the camera recording relies on P2 cards which are somewhat outdated and expensive. However, the HPX produces nice, low-noise images which replicate colors very well, and the camera was built with the comfort and practicality of the user in mind.
