Why it's a best pick:
Despite being the least expensive HDTV on this list, the Panasonic G10’s overall performance is only rivaled by the Panasonic V10 series. Superb performance, combined with a large 54” screen, make this plasma TV an ideal choice for watching sports. The Panasonic TC-P54G10 has exceptional image quality with incredibly deep black levels and extremely accurate grayscale and colors when using the set’s THX mode. This set also features VieraCast, which provides access to interactive Internet services such as YouTube or Picasa over Ethernet. Connectivity is sufficient with 3 HDMI ports (2 in the rear, 1 on the side) and plenty of other inputs such as composite, S-video, and VGA. Available for around $1600 online, the TC-P54G10 is a great bargain and the top choice for any sports enthusiasts looking that wants a large HDTV without breaking the bank.

I have a Panasonic 20" LCD TV Model # TC-20LA2
Serial # uj4230052 March 2004
I have had this TV 4 to 5 years I won it at a golf outing 2004or 2005. Just yesterday Sept. 30 2009 the LCD TV over heated and started smoking. I unplugged cleared the smoke and plugged back in and it stop smoking, the tv has sound and channel works but there is no picture, you see some lines you hear people talking but no picture. Is this common after 5 years on a LCD tv by panasonic.
