Its maximum 7200 dpi scan setting provides more than enough resolution for quality scans. This scanner comes with SilverFast SEPlus scanning software that offers a variety of scanning options including an auto-adjust setting mode, iSRD (infrared smart removal of defect), and selective color correction. The auto-adjust feature works well in many situations, but as is the case with all scanners, experimenting and manually selecting the right settings produces better scan results. If you are in need of a high quality dedicated film/slide scanner but don’t want to shell out thousands for a professional model, the Plustek Opticfilm 7500i SE is the clear choice.
