Made by MTD, this reasonably priced string trimmer features a big 5.5 amp motor which is larger than nearly every other motor on this list. That kind of power will cut through the toughest weeds with ease, giving you the kind of mojo found in gas powered models. The truth is, you just won't need more power than this in a corded trimmer and with the price so competitive, you can't go wrong. It has a telescopic handle for comfort when trimming, the head rotates to turn it into an edger, and it has a two year warranty.
