Why it's best:
The Samsung LN52B750’s winning combination of superb performance, great energy efficiency, and value make it the best LCD TV overall. It outperforms nearly all other LCD TVs, including Samsung’s ultra-thin LED edge-lit models. This HDTV is also very energy efficient and has plenty of interactive features including Yahoo! Widgets for stocks, weather, news, and other information. The LN52B750 has excellent picture quality, delivering accurate colors and very deep blacks. Color temperature is also accurate, especially after adjusting the white balance controls. One of the step-up features found on the LNB750 series is a 240Hz refresh rate. While you may not be able to clearly see the benefits over a 120Hz refresh rate, this HDTV does a solid job with video processing. Like with most Samsung’s TVs, there are plenty of adjustment options to help you get just the right picture, including five color temperature presets, adjustable dejudder processing, seven-position gamma control, color space control and plenty more. The adjustable dejudder processing lets you set judder reduction and blur reduction separately.

Connectivity should be sufficient for most. Four HDMI ports, an Ethernet port, two component video inputs, one RF input, one stereo analog, one VGA PC input, one optical digital audio output, two USB ports and an AV input are all included. If you need an S-video input though, you’ll find yourself out of luck. A particularly noteworthy feature is the ability to upgrade the set’s firmware via the Ethernet port.

If plasma TVs are not for you and you’re still looking for top-notch picture quality at a reasonable price, then the Samsung LN52B750 is one of the best options out there. While it can’t match the sleekness or energy efficiency of the company’s edge-lit LCD TVs, it offers much more bang for the buck and delivers superior performance. Anyone shopping for an LCD TV should put this one at or near the top of their list.

Manufacturer Description: The Samsung LN52B750 LCD high definition TV comes with Full 1080p resolution, Auto Motion Plus 240Hz processing, and a 150,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio create a colored image with impressive clarity. Touch of Charcoal Grey design adds a hint of distinguished look to home. And connectivity options, including HDMI and ethernet mean you can choose from a variety of sources.

I've owned this TV for around six weeks... Could not be happier with it. The picture quality is perfect pretty much out of the box, although there are a few preset video/audio types which fine tune it based upon what you're watching (e.g. sport, vs movie).

I use the DLNA features extensively, streaming movies from my Mac to the TV. I...read full review

Recieved 5 StarsI couldn't be happier!, November 15, 2009

I am writing this review as a former ln46a650 with red touch of color owner. The quality of that set is tremendous but its small size and red color got annoying after a while. I sold the other one and picked up this bad boy for about $1760 last month and wanted to give it some time before writing a review. The piano black finish with the barely...read full review

Recieved 5 StarsSamsung HD ROCKS, November 10, 2009

After watching the ads/prices for months and months, I finaly made the plunge for our first big screen HD. We're overwelmed with the quality of the picture of this set, and can't be happier (so far...it's only been a couple of weeks)!
Went through a couple of cable box changes (box problem, not TV), and cable connection changes, we have an...read full review

Recieved 5 StarsExcellent so far!, November 4, 2009

This TV is everything I expected. It was delivered quick and trouble free. The picture is amazing as you would expect even right out of the box. Some people complained about the speakers which I feel sound fine for TV speakers. I have it connected to 7.1 surround for movies anyway. Also, some complained about the remote, I found it rather...read full review
