Expert: Roy Natian

Why it's a best pick:
As its name implies, the Rugby is a tough phone designed to be able to take bumps and rough treatment. It has a functional design that is easy to use and a decent feature set that includes GPS, push-to-talk, and a camera. The small external screen supports 65,000 colors and is easy to read. There is an external volume rocker on the left side of the phone and a dedicated speaker button on the right. Both buttons are easy to find by feel alone. The internal display is bright and vibrant with great quality. The keys are easy to dial due to great spacing and tactile feedback. While this phone does contain a few advanced features, they won’t get in the way of a straightforward phone experience if you choose not to use them.
