Sierra Wireless Raven XT 3G Gateway
There is nothing particularly wrong with this in-car modem, but it's a somewhat older model that lacks some of the nicer features found in more modern ones. It has 3G support, which is perfect for older mobile networks, but does not work if you need 4G LTE connectivity. You get one USB 2.0 port on this model, and while it lacks an Ethernet connection it does have a Serial port and two digital I/O ports. The rugged aluminum case on this modem keeps it working well even under tough conditions, though it lacks any particular specifications for shock resistance or durability. Ultimately, this is a solid in-car modem, but there are just a few better options on the market if you need the fastest performance and want a wireless network. There is also a Raven XE model available with 2G support if you don't need 3G mobile.
