Snark SM-1 Touch Screen Metronome
Snark’s SM1 Touch metronome is one of the first touch-screen metronomes in addition to being one of the loudest budget metronomes on the market (but it still has a headphone jack if you prefer). It has fifteen different rhythmic options for effective practicing and a tap tempo function in addition to a wide tempo range and adjustable click volume. In fact, there’s several useful options for click sound and a couple that are just for amusement such as a dog bark. While the units touch screen isn’t as responsive as the buttons on a high-end metronome, but it’s more responsive than the buttons on cheaply made metronomes. The touch screen does offer some attraction to students because it’s fun to use and will hopefully inspire them to practice with a click.
