Review: The best option available today, Sony's PlayStation 3 outperforms most other Blu-ray players and doubles as a outstanding game console. It supports Profile 2.0 Blu-ray discs and its firmware is easily upgradable via Wi-Fi. The PS3 also does a great job upconverting standard DVDs. It lacks IR support and analog multichannel outputs, but buyers who don't prefer a standalone Blu-ray player will be very satisfied. For gamers, it's a no-brainer.

Solid bundle, not the best choice if you are planning a disk upgrade, November 07 2008
Necessary disclosure: I do not own this model but do I own the 60GB model, recently upgraded to 320GB.
