The Sony Xplod XM-4S belongs to Sony's 'Slim Series' of amplifiers, which explains its size and design. Very small and decent full range amplifier, October 04 2007
This amplifier does very well fitting into tight spaces. I've never had any issues with it getting too hot. I did remove the shroud, it just looked too flashy.

Bought this to step up the sound in my Chevy Colorado, and Pontiac Solstice. I have put this amp in several other cars and it sounds great and turns up as loud as i need.
