System Three T88 Epoxy
T-88 is a true structural adhesive, with a tensile strength of 7,000 PSI, making it the strongest epoxy on our list. It has excellent adhesion on a wide variety of substrates, making it a good choice for just about any application. The clear amber color becomes all but invisible when varnished, making it a good choice for wood as well. This adhesive is also one of the few around which works well with damp wood, making it possible to work on projects that otherwise couldn't be completed. It provides you with a 60 minute work time and fully cures in 72 hours. While that may seem like a long time, this epoxy is actually designed for use in structural applications where the structure will be nailed or screwed together to hold it during the curing cycle. It will cure in temperatures as low as 35 degrees Fahrenheit and once cured is unaffected by water, oil, kerosene and many other chemicals. This product is packaged in two, four ounce bottles, although it's also available in a variety of larger containers.
Another unusual aspect to this epoxy is that it is available in a u-TAH cartridge, much like a calking tube. While that isn't ideal for day-to-day use, it's great if you have major structural work that needs an epoxy adhesive.
