Denmark's TC Electronic has taken all the bells and whistles from their more expensive amps and loaded them into the BH500, a newer model priced within reach of the working bassist. Along with 4 bands of EQ, it also has TC's exclusive TubeTone overdrive and SpectraComp compressor. TubeTone consists of a digital circuit that emulates the sound of real tubes more accurately than many hybrid amps. SpectraComp is a variable compressor that adjusts compression to the individual strings. Other features include a built-in tuner, a memory circuit to store your preset tones, and another TC exclusive, the TweeterTone treble boost. A very impressive amp at a very impressive price, the BH500 is one of the best bass heads available.
