Transition Scout 2015 Freeride Mountain Bike
Transition’s Scout is a no-nonsense bike with a hot rod personality that wants to go full gas all over the land. The Scout dances through technical terrain like a chamois-wearing ballerina, and the bike’s aluminum frame design, with low bottom bracket and short chainstays, allows stability at speed and fast-twitch handling prowess. Tansition’s Giddy Up suspension uses the Monarch DeonAir shock for improved traction and efficiency on climbs with solid control on descents. Combined with a 140mm travel RockShox Pike fork, the Scout is a well-oiled bump-absorbing machine. It excels at choppy, chaotic descents littered with all manner of obstacles and remains unfazed from jarring impacts.
The Scout charges through turns like an Indy car with barely a blip of frame flex. Schwalbe Nobby Nic tires give the Scout all-around reliability in most any tread condition, but can lose a step over wet rocks and roots. Matched with a WTB/DT Swiss wheelset, riders can roll confidently over most anything. At the bike park or over hill and dale, all the world’s a playground on the Scout.
