Almost 15 years ago, in an attempt to impress my now wife's father (who was an avid shutterbug), I picked up a camera and learned how to operate it beyond the program mode. After we were married and received news that we were expecting our first child, I got REALLY serious. Photography turned out to be a much needed artistic outlet and with my children as unwitting subjects, my appetite for knowledge became voracious. In the quest to make outstanding images I learned everything I could about even the most minute of photographic techniques, disciplines, and details.
No longer simply the "family photographer," I am now a published, award-winning professional portrait and wedding photographer with over 10 years in the business. I also have advanced interests in automobile, landscape, sports, astro, and lifestyle photography. I enjoy researching the latest tech, the newest gear, and learning new picture-making techniques in the never-ending pursuit of creating better images.
