Review: V.I.O. has created an extremely rugged and very versatile wearable camcorder with the POV 1.5. Great for capturing action footage whether you are skiing, sailing or rally driving, this handy camcorder comes with a 110° wide angle lens for great looking shots and a variety of mounting hardware so that you can install it anywhere that you would like. The POV 1.5 is capable of taking up to an 8 GB SD card so that you can record up to eight hours of non-stop high quality video. With multiple resolutions, the highest of which is 720 x 480, you will have plenty of image quality choices when out in the field. The recorder also comes with a handy LCD screen and in-built speaker so that you can playback your footage right there and then. The main downside to this device is that it can be difficult to set up at first. It may take you a few tries before you get the aim right and are all good to go. The package of the camera, recorder and remote control comes at a very high price as well making this a camcorder which is purely suited for those with higher budgets. Saying that though, the device is certainly well worth it. Thanks to its incredibly durable shock-resistant, waterproof casing, you will be able to take footage of the action in hot, cold and dusty conditions. And, just when you think that V.I.O. have given you everything that you could need, they can also provide you with a 12-volt converter which allows you to power the device using a motorbike or car battery instead of the typical AA cells. Despite its higher price tag and its difficult set up procedure, this is definitely a product which will last you for years and work effectively for you during this time.
