Yokohama ADVAN Sport ZPS
The ADVAN Sport tire may not have a regular spot in the limelight like Yokohama's well-received ADVAN Neova line, but hype aside, this is a truly competent tire. Dry traction levels are high, and wet performance is confidence-inspiring thanks to the four circumferential grooves and multitude of lateral and round grooves which effectively channel water away from the contact patch.
Yokohama's Zero Pressure System (ZPS) works like every other run-flat system on the market with reinforced sidewalls allowing the tire to bear a load even when flat and can be driven at up to 50 mph for 50 miles. This gives plenty of time to find a tire repair station and negates the need for getting out the spare unless a blowout occurs. Although the ADVAN Sport ZPS is expensive as far as tires go, it’s priced far under the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP and the Pirelli PZero RFT while retaining most of the performance.
