ZyXEL ADSL2+ Ethernet Router (P-660R)
Expert Review
While this DSL modem lacks a built-in router or any other feature that would really set it apart from other models out there, it's still an excellent option. Despite the fact that ZyXEL refers to this as a "router", it really just acts as a modem with a single outbound Ethernet port. If you want to create a network with multiple user points, you'll need a separate router or switch to connect multiple systems. The speeds on this modem are good, with support for up to 24Mbps while downloading, which is what you would expect from a model with ADSL2+ support. Although this is a pretty straightforward modem, it does have some great IP management tools, with UPnP support and a web-based utility for set up and network management. This is a good modem if you already have a wireless router or do not need additional connectivity, but there is nothing to make it the best of the best.
